RAM 1500 is the most loved pickup truck by RAM Motors, and now it will be available as an electric vehicle. It isn’t humor, it’s real. Officially RAM has announced the upcoming EV. RAM unveiled its first all-electric pickup truck at the Chicago 2022 auto show, which took place in February 2022. Mike Koval Jr., CEO of RAM Pickup Truck, introduced the RAM Revolution program to all. He invited RAM’s supporters to give feedback on its electric pickup truck.
2024 RAM 1500 EV Review
The Ram 1500 EV concept was a compact, sleek electric pickup truck. Although it has a more boxy design than the concept RAM 1500 REV, the production model looks more like the RAM 1500. The front end features a slightly raked front fascia with curvy edges and dramatic lighting. The truck’s daytime running lights are Y-shaped and extend almost to the width of the grille. The grille’s “RAM” letter is located front and center. It has bright backlighting and square headlights in the middle. It looks similar to the current RAM 1500’s back, which has large, r-shaped taillights as well as a traditional tailgate.
Although the 1500 Revolution BEV concept interior looked like a concept, it was still very real. However, the preproduction model that we have seen on television and the internet does not look like a concept. Photos from RAM show that the interior is busier than what the concept showed. It is surrounded by a large central column that has a prominent touchscreen and several physical controls. These are bounded by large rectangular air vents. A touchscreen is located in the dash. We have not yet received confirmation about the exact features and specifications of the truck, but we believe the truck will be very similar to the photos that were taken in the preproduction.
Interior & Exterior
This concept had a square steering wheel with two screens totaling 28 inches. You can remove the lower screen and use it as a tablet, or adjust it in three different ways. These futuristic seats include integrated grab handles, seatbelts, and speakers, and can be taken out completely or folded flat. For extra interior space, the center console can be removed and the armrest can be transformed into a desk. It is not known which features are available on the RAM 1500REV.
Ram has not confirmed the tech features of the 1500REV, but it should have two screens and a cluster of digital instruments. It is expected that the truck will have an exterior projector, advanced augmented reality, and a heads-up display. There was also My Day, an intelligent trip planning feature that provides suggestions for when to leave and which roads to take.
The Truck’s Vehicle Personal Assistant is an artificial intelligence-powered virtual assistant. It also includes a 3D Ram avatar, which responds to voice commands both inside and outside of the vehicle. Shadow Mode allows the truck to follow the driver as he or she walks in front of it. These features are not yet available in the production model.
Powertrain
We don’t have any power figures or details on the powertrain for the 1500 REV. However, we do know that it is being built on the STLA Frame platform. Ram’s REV is aiming to be the leader in towing, capability, and payload. In a press release, Mike Koval Jr. Ram Brand CEO Stellantis stated that “The Ram brand has already redefined the pickup truck market and will again with the all-new Ram 1500 REV. We believe in providing the best powertrain options to our customers. The Ram 1500 REV will be the first of a series of electrified options that will complement our award-winning truck line. Ram is on an electrification adventure that will allow us to surpass the competition in the areas our customers value most: range, payload, and time.
Ram claims the truck can be charged at up to 350 kW, and will add 100 miles in just 10 minutes. For added maneuverability, the truck could also come with rear-wheel steering that can move up to 15 degrees. The pickup’s production model should have an air suspension with three modes: aero, ingress, exit, off-road, and two electric motors.
Safety
The Ram 1500 REV will be equipped with the most recent safety features that are not available on the base RAM 1500. We expect the Ram 1500 REV to be a brand-new electric vehicle. It will have all of the safety features that drivers want, including adaptive cruise control and surround-view cameras, automatic high beams, and automatic parking.
Ram confirmed that the concept has Level 3 autonomous driving. The steering wheel retracts, and the vehicle does not require inputs from the driver. Ram will produce the Ram 1500 Electric Vehicle if they can find a way to make Level 3 technology available for production.
Battery Capacity
RAM has not provided any additional information on its forthcoming electric pickup truck. According to media reports, RAM 1500 EV will offer greater range and more battery capacity. The 2024 RAM 1500 EV will feature a 150 kW fast charging system that users can use to charge their vehicles quickly. In the world of EVs, charging time and range are more important than ever. However, it is a major problem right now for EVs. Many electric cars have a shorter range and take longer to charge. This means that users must spend more time charging the vehicle.
2024 RAM 1500 EV Price & Release Date
The first electric vehicle will be the 2024 RAM 1500 EV. RAM has not yet provided any information about the price. However, media reports and other media sources suggest that the price could start at $58,000. RAM introduced RAM 1500 Electric in February 2022. It will be available sometime around 2024.
