The next-generation Nissan Maxima will sport a more distinctive look than previous models. These cars are very conservative in style. The Nissan V-Motion design will influence the 2024 Maxima. The current design will therefore be futuristic and more sporty.
The Maxima could be a four-door coupe or liftback (hatchback) at certain angles. This is similar to the Fastback Peugeot 508 and Kia Stinger. It will most likely happen after 2024/25. The Nissan Maxima sedan, a basic brand, is designed to be used by taxi companies and rental agencies as a vehicle.

Initial expectations were that production of the eighth-generation Maxima would stop in two years. Engine
Maxima will continue to use a 3.5-liter VQ35DE V-6 engine, which may produce very little power. It generates 300 horsepower and 261 pound-feet (354 Nm). Maxima’s greatest weakness is its gearbox. It is the CVT. It is great for fuel economy but doesn’t offer the same performance as a sportscar.
While Nissan offers an automatic transmission option for its 2023 models, it will still use a CVT gearbox. Nissan offers a toroidal, heavy-duty CVT with greater torque that is available only on pickup trucks and SUVs. We expect the Maxima to come with either a manual or an auto option, as it was directly derived from Mercedes (a nine-speed automatic for 2024).
Interior
Maxima can accommodate five people in a spacious cabin that features simple controls and soft-touch materials. Excellent legroom in the front seat, which is the largest in this class, makes Maxima stand out. Average headroom. The rear seats of the Toyota Avalon are larger than those of its bigger competitors, but they aren’t as comfortable as those of larger models.
Standard features include a power-adjustable driver and front seats, leather-clad steering wheels and shift buttons, as well as two-zone automatic climate control, automatic dimming of the rearview and side mirrors, and start and stop buttons. Maxima has a weakness in cargo hauling. You can use larger cubbies for daily items, and the rear seat backrests are foldable to store larger items.
Connectivity and infotainment
Maxima’s touchscreen infotainment system is standard in their Maxima range. We find them to be easy to use. The infotainment system can be used as a touchscreen. You can also access standard adjustments like climate control or audio volume by pressing a button on the middle stack.
Remote access is possible as well as vehicle monitoring. Speed warnings and limits might be of interest to teens. When airbags have been inflated after an accident, the system contacts emergency services automatically. Maxima can be located in the event of theft. This includes remote start and door lock access.

The platinum trim is available for the standard heated rear seat. Maxima offers a range of SV, SR, and Platinum options. Standard features include navigation, leather seats, and Nissan’s driver assistance suite the Nissan Safety Shield 360.
Exterior
The exterior of the cabin is well-designed and surrounds a large cabin. This encourages mainstream ideas that are similar to luxury. Maxima is designed for people who love driving and want to have fun. But don’t expect too much. Maxima has a 300-hp V-6 motor and front-wheel drive, which is not the case with other large sedans like the Chrysler 300 or Dodge Charger.
The convenience of modern technology–including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a host of standard driver assistance–comes and counts. Maxima is a great choice for anti-SUV drivers who need space for passengers but still want the luxury and comfort of a large vehicle.
2024 Nissan Maxima Release Date & Price
The base model starts at $37,240. The base model is more expensive than the Toyota Camry XSE V6 top-of-the-line which starts at $35,000. It offers the same power and brand equity as the Toyota Camry XSE V6 top-of-the-line, but a better overall ownership experience. The Honda Accord Touring 2.0T, which costs $37,400, is the most expensive model. It is a great car for drivers, even though it has less than 50 horsepower. The Maxima SR was a mid-range Maxima SR that pushed the asking price up to $42,400. Platinum was $42,550.
