The Kia Sorento, which is just below the Telluride full-size SUV, is the brand’s second-largest SUV. The Sorento has three rows of seating, but it comes in a smaller package that is more suitable for families. The 2024 Sorento will not see any major changes. However, we may see a midcycle refresh in 2025 that includes updated styling and new features. We expect Kia will offer the Sorento Hybrid as well as the Sorento Plug-in Hybrid like in previous years.

The Sorento’s styling is inspired by its larger sibling and makes a striking SUV, especially when equipped with the X-Line appearance pack. The interior is luxurious and includes many comfort features such as heated and ventilated seats, a large panoramic sunroof, and more. It boasts some of the most advanced tech in the market, including twin 10.3-inch displays on all trim levels.
The Kia Sorento is a competitor to SUVs such as the Mazda CX-50, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Honda Passport. The Sorento’s tech-packed interior is well-positioned against its rivals. It also offers the option of seating up to seven people.
2024 Kia Sorento Redesign
The 2024 Kia Sorento will be getting a mid-cycle upgrade, as we have just mentioned. We don’t have all the details yet, but we do know that the test model was spotted on the road. We can’t discuss details as it is still covered by heavy covers. We are certain that the majority of the changes will be visible. The front is where most changes will be seen, with new features in many areas such as the grille and front fascia. There might be some modifications to the rear end, including new taillights and exhaust pipes.
However, the mechanical aspects of the vehicle should not change. The SUV’s ride quality is competitive and it is still quite new. It’s comfortable and simple to drive. The level of athleticism it offers is also quite good.
Interior
While some interior changes are possible, most things will stay the same. This cabin is a strong point of Sorento. It already looks impressive. The interior looks very luxurious and elegant, with a high level of build quality. Although this is a mainstream product, the quality of the materials and attention paid to detail show that it can compete with many models in the premium segment.
The Sorento offers plenty of space and a well-built cabin. It’s difficult to imagine the third row being as spacious as the first two, given that this SUV is a mid-size SUV. The first and second rows, on the other hand, are very spacious and comfortable. The cargo area is approximately 12.6 cubic feet larger than the third row, 45 cubic feet behind the second, and 75.5 cubic yards of the total volume.
Features
Next year’s update will certainly include new features in terms of available and standard equipment. We are confident that these changes will not be significant, considering that the current model is already very good in this area. The current model is equipped with standard features such as dual-zone climate control and push-button/remote start. You can also get a panoramic sunroof and wireless device charging, as well as rear-seat entertainment systems.

Safety features are the same as before. The current model comes standard with blind-spot monitoring and blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alerts, lane departure warning, lane stay assist, lane keep help, lane departure warning, rear crossing-traffic alert, traffic signal recognition, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking.
Engine
The engine lineup will certainly remain unchanged. Base models will still feature the familiar 2.5-liter inline-4, which produces around 191 horsepower. This is sufficient for daily commutes, but we prefer the turbo-four option, which produces 281 horsepower and offers impressive driving dynamics.

Two hybrid models are also available. The classic hybrid is powered by a 1.6-liter turbo four engines. It produces 226 horsepower. The plug-in hybrid, on the other hand, has a larger battery and a more powerful electric motor. This means that the combined power is 261 horsepower. The all-electric range is approximately 30 miles.
2024 Kia Sorento Price and Release Date
The 2024 Kia Sorento is expected to hit the market in the second half of 2023. The current model is priced at 31.000 dollars. We don’t anticipate a substantial price hike. There are many competitors, but we expect models such as the Subaru Ascent and GMC Acadia to remain key rivals.
