The iconic Jeep Wrangler will enter the electric-vehicle age, sharing its body and interior with the Magneto concept. According to reports, the new 2024 Jeep Wrangler Electric Vehicle will be available for purchase sometime in the fall. However, the Wrangler Electric will look and feel almost identical to the current Wrangler.
Jeep already sells a plug-in hybrid version, the 4xe, of its Wrangler. The only thing that is missing from the lineup is an electric version. This is in fact on the horizon. Let’s see what Jeep will add to its electric SUV.
2024 Jeep Wrangler EV Design
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler Electric Vehicle will be modern and distinctive. We expect this SUV to have the same styling as our Magneto concept. The classic seven-slog grille on this SUV and the rounded headlights make it instantly recognizable. The design of this SUV can vary depending on the trim level.
The Magneto, with its 20-inch wheelset and all-terrain tires, is the most expensive model. This model can climb over rocks and ruts better than others in Jeep’s range.
Interior
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler Electric is in production and will offer a more comfortable cabin than the regular model. It is not yet clear if the Wrangler EV model will come with a two- or four-door body. We expect it to have the same interior space as the Wrangler EV and the same dashboard layout.
It will have the same removable roof and doors as before for open-air driving. This model will likely be separated from the rest by the manufacturer, which will add more quality materials and possibly better technology.
Engine
The new 2024 Jeep Wrangler Electric Vehicle will likely use the same setup that the Magneto concept. This model features a 285-hp motor and a 6-speed manual transmission. The combined power should reach 625 horses. The model featured four battery packs that were mounted on the chassis.
We believe something similar could be added to the Wrangler Electric Vehicle. The 4xe plug-in hybrid Jeep model already exists. It has 375 horsepower and 470-pound feet of torque. You can travel approximately 50 miles on one charge in all-electric mode.
2024 Jeep Wrangler EV Price and Release Date
According to the latest report, there will be a variety of trims for the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Electric. Sports starts at $50,000, Freedom is at $55,000, Sahara is at $60,000, Rubicon is at $65,000, and Magneto is at $70,000.
Jeep has not yet provided any pricing information for the Wrangler EV. However, we expect a starting price of approximately $50,000 and possibly higher. We don’t have an exact date for the rerelease of the new electric model, but there are many reports that it will be available before 2023.
