Although it may seem a little late to respond, Honda has now committed to developing battery-electric vehicles starting with the 2024 Honda Prologue. Honda has recently unveiled its ambitious electrification strategy. It aims to be a carbon-neutral company by 2050. We all know that this plan will be even faster in Europe where Honda plans to launch three new electric cars by 2023.

Things are starting to get interesting in the US, especially after Honda and General Motors signed an agreement to collaborate on mass-electronic vehicle development. Here is the first model that resulted from this partnership. It is called Honda Prologue and is an all-electric SUV. A model will be unveiled in 2024, but this is the first photo and initial data. Two more attempts at partial electrification are the Insight hybrid and the Clarity. Both are powered by hydrogen fuel cell technology.
The completely electrified 2024 Honda Prologue SUV is the first step in a new era of electric Honda cars. The adventure-ready Revelation can navigate both daily commutes and weekend getaways easily and offers versatility and a driving range comparable with our existing robust SUV collection. Honda has revealed the new 2024 Honda Prologue, an all-new fully-electric SUV. Honda has not yet revealed any additional information about the new Honda Prologue. We don’t have any additional information about the performance or other specifications.
2024 Honda Prologue Release Date & Price
Honda has released photos of the new Honda Prologue 2024. Here are some details. Honda has yet to reveal any information regarding its launch date or when it will be made available. According to media reports and other automotive news reports, however. It appears that the new Honda Prologue could be released in the second half of 2023 or the first quarter of 2024.
This model appears to be a distinct one due to its origin. It was created by teams from Japan and the United States, and its DNA is from the American GM. But, it’s also unique because of the design. Honda previously published a road map for its North American electrification program, which consists of three phases. It will begin implementation in 2024.
Honda has not yet revealed the price and trims for the 2024 Honda Prologue. The Prologue may be launched with honda’s classic trims models, LX, EX, and EX-L. We expect the base trim to start at $45,000. Its top trim, Touring, could cost up to $55,000.
Interior & Exterior
General Motors collaborated on the creation of the Prologue. It will share the same BEV3 vehicle architecture as midsize crossover models Buick and Chevrolet, as well as the Cadillac Lyriq 2023 which is approximately the same size as that of the Prologue. GM’s Ultium battery management technology will be used in the Prologue as well as during production at a GM plant.

Honda claims the Prologue’s exterior appearance “shows the simple, timeless and clean features of the worldwide Honda creative directions, together with a longer wheelbase, shorter overhang and a solid stance equipped with a competent tire.” Its design is efficient, however, as it aims for better aerodynamics. It will also maximize its electric status with a large wheelbase, minimal overhangs, and a high-performance motor.
The Prologue will feature the latest in entertainment and user convenience technology. However, a lot of it is rebranded as GM content with additional Honda features. Other benefits include a fully digital instrument cluster, connected service, over-the-air updates, wireless charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Infotainment & Connectivity
An 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment screen stands proudly in the middle of the Prologue’s dashboard. It is not clear if the system will use Honda’s most recent software interface or if it will be using a modified version of GM’s Google-based system. We expect to see features like wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, in-dash navigation, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. It is likely that the 11.0-inch digital gauge displayed in the photos will also be standard. Photos show a Bose stereo system featuring tweeter speakers inside the Prologue’s Apillars. However, we expect a base stereo that is not branded to have fewer speakers.

Range, Battery, & Charging Time
Honda has not provided any details about the range, battery, or charging times. We expect it to have the same range as the Chevrolet Blazer EV. The Honda Prologue, an all-new model of Honda, will be built on the same platform as the Blazer EV. It could provide an electric range of 250-320 miles with a single charge. We will update this article as honda provides more details about the range, charging time, motor power, engine, and battery.
