The new 2024 Ford F-350 Super Duty tow truck is a great choice if you are looking for a reliable option. The truck offers a lot, with a beautiful design and a modern interior. This heavy-duty truck, however, is all about performance. You can choose from one of two gasoline engines or a powerful diesel powertrain.
There are several trim levels for the F-350 truck, as well as a few cool options. It is a heavy-duty truck that can do all of the above. The biggest rivals will be Ram 3500 and Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD. This segment is very strong, so all three manufacturers offer many upgrades every year. The 2024MY will not be any different.
Ford F-350 Facelift
We have seen spy photos of the 2024 Ford F-350. Official photos will also be available before the end of this year. As we mentioned, the heavy-duty truck’s front end will be modified.
Camouflage hides new headlamps and the huge Ford logo in the center of the grille. The grille has been updated with chrome underneath and black paint around it. We also noticed a new back end, with larger FORD letters on the tailgate as well as redesigned taillights.
Interior
The 2024 Ford F-350 will see a significant improvement. The quality and equipment of this truck may vary depending on its trim level. For example, the base XL has the standard quality and entertainment systems. The XLT’s 8-inch touchscreen has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Upper trims will offer a larger 12-inch screen, as well as the SYNC4 infotainment and wireless phone integrations. As always, leather upholstery is available in top-of-the-line variants. Numerous cabin improvements will be made to the new model. The interior design will be updated, but the seating arrangement and general design of the cabins will not change.
Engine
The current engine lineup will remain under the hood of the 2024 Ford F-350. Some engines will see some improvements. A 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engine is standard with 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. We recommend the optional 7.3-liter V8 petrol engine. This engine can produce 430 horsepower and 475 pounds-feet of torque. You may also choose a turbodiesel engine.
It has a 6.7-liter V8 power stroke engine and 475 horses. It also has approximately 1050 lb-ft of torque. The optional gasoline engine will have more horsepower while the diesel engine may have more torque. You should also avoid the 6-speed automatic transmission and opt for the 10-speed automatic gearbox.
Modern Towing Technologies
Confident towing is a different matter than having more torque to move mountains. Ford estimates that over 96 percent of heavy-duty truck owners pull large loads. Ford, therefore, made sure to equip its 2023 Super Duty with innovative towing-related assist technology. Andrew Kernahan (2023 Ford Super Duty Chief Engineer) stated that the goal was to make drivers have zero blind spots even when towing long trailers. Towing and hooking up has never been simpler.”
Ford Super Duty’s latest model features a 360-degree camera on the trailer. This allows for a bird’s eye view to help eliminate blind spots when moving or maneuvering. An attachable blind spot information system is available for fifth-wheel and gooseneck trailers. Onboard scales can estimate cargo weight and display the remaining capacity via the center touchscreen, the taillights, or the FordPass app.
The new features include a Tailgate down Reverse Camera and Sensing System as well as Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, which automatically backs up your truck and align it to the trailer receiver. There is also a new trailer navigation feature that calculates the safest and fastest routes based on the dimensions and weight of the trailer.
Safety
The 2023 Ford Super Duty features a wide range of safety features and advanced driver assistance technology. The 2023 Ford Super Duty features a full-color head-up display (HUD), adaptive cruise control, intelligent front, and rear brake assistance, trailer theft alerts, forward and reverses sensing system, forward and backward sensing systems, and intelligent adaptive cruise. Ford Pro customers can now schedule their fleet operations with a new Fleet Start Inhibit function.
Ford Super Duty’s 5G capability is the first pickup to use the AT&T 5G network. This system provides Wi-Fi connectivity to up to 10 devices, allowing for superior connectivity for both work and play. Over-the-air software updates are available to optimize the truck’s performance over its lifetime.
Seven Grille Designs
Ford wanted to differentiate each Super Duty model, so seven new front grille designs were created. Additionally, the entire lineup now has LED headlights. We are glad that the long-side vents do not serve as a decorative touch. They improve aero efficiency and reduce the pressure in the engine bay.
Ford also offers STX, Sport, or Black appearance packages that can be customized with different paint, wheels, and trim combinations. The F-250 and F-350 now have the XL Off-Road package, which adds 33-inch knobby wheels, axle vent tubes, and skid plates. It also has an electronic locking rear differential. The Tremor Offroad Package offers bespoke suspension tuning, a raised front end, a Dana front axle with LSD and vent tubes, and 18-inch wheels wrapped with 35-inch Goodyear tires. There are also selectable driving modes.
The new Super Duty comes with an 8-inch screen (XL), and a 12-inch display for models of higher trim. Standard features include a 12-inch digital instrument cluster with four USB ports, Ford’s Max Recline seat, a 640-watt Bang & Olufsen stereo system with eight speakers (an optional 18-speaker B&O premium sound system is also available), and Alexa connectivity.
2024 Ford F-350 Price and Release Date
Six trim levels will be available, as well as many optional packages. The base 2024 Ford F-350 model will be priced at $40,000 while the Limited trim level will run around $90,000. Ford will introduce a new Super Duty truck lineup in the second half of 2023.
